The documentary features 10 selected contributions to show climate change and its effects on the forest, but also adequate measures that can be taken to prepare the forest for climate change on the basis of genetically suitable trees and to manage it sustainably in the future.
Topic of the 2. Part are the silvicultural measures that can be taken to make the forests fit for the coming climate. Starting from the legal framework in Austria, over the large importance of controlled seed production and plant breeding to the sustainable tree selection, afforestation and forest adaptation, all appropriate measures will be identified. The last film provides small forest owners with an overview of how they can make their forest climate–fit and where they get the necessary help and support.
