  • Create and manage storage devices, partitions, file systems, and swap spaces from the command line.
Control services and the boot process
  • Control and monitor network services, system daemons, and the boot process using systemd.

  • Locate and accurately interpret logs of system events for troubleshooting purposes.
Implement advanced storage features
  • Create and manage logical volumes containing file systems and swap spaces from the command line, and configure advanced storage features with Stratis and VDO.

  • Schedule tasks to automatically execute in the future.
Access network-attached storage
  • Access network-attached storage, using the NFS protocol.
Manage network security
  • Control network connections to services using the system firewall and SELinux rules.
Running Containers
  • Obtain, run, and manage simple, lightweigt services as containers on a single Red Hat Enterprise Linux server.
Ziele
In diesem Kurs werden die Inhalte dieser beiden Seminare in beschleunigtem Tempo behandelt.
Dieser Kurs baut auf Vorkenntnissen zur Linux-Systemadministration auf Kommandozeilenbasis auf. Die Teilnehmer*innen sollten übliche Befehle über die Shell ausführen, mit häufigen Befehlsoptionen arbeiten und auf man-Seiten zugreifen können. Teilnehmer*innen, die nicht über diese Kenntnisse verfügen, wird dringend die Teilnahme an den beiden oben genannten Kursen empfohlen!

Nach Abschluss des Kurses haben die Teilnehmer*innen Kenntnisse zu folgenden Themen:
  • Verwalten von Nutzern, Gruppen, Dateien und Dateiberechtigungen
  • Aktualisieren von Softwarepaketen mit yum
  • Management von und Fehlerbehebung bei systemd-Diensten während des Bootvorgangs
  • Netzwerk-Konfiguration und grundlegende Fehlerbehebung
  • Management von lokalen Speichern sowie Erstellen und Verwenden von Dateisystemen
  • Firewall-Management mit firewalld
  • Management von Kernel-based Virtual Machines (KVMs)
  • Automatisierte Installation von Red Hat Enterprise Linux mittels Kickstart
  • Running Containers
