How-tos
How to organise mandatory training with courseticket
Seven tasks that HR, compliance and safety teams have to solve for mandatory training, each with a short answer and the steps in courseticket.
1. How do I organise mandatory training for all employees?
With a learning platform that combines assignment, reminders and records in one process. In courseticket, each mandatory training is created as a course or learning path, assigned to its audience and given a deadline; completion, test result and certificate are documented automatically.
- Create the training: e-learning, live session or a combination, with a final test and certificate template.
- Choose the audience: all employees, departments, locations or roles.
- Set the deadline and repeat interval, and switch on reminders.
- Track progress in reporting and export records when needed.
2. How do I assign training automatically by role or department?
Through the platform's organisational structure and the groups from your identity provider. You map departments, teams and roles in courseticket; with sign-in via Microsoft Entra ID, roles and groups can be taken over. New employees receive the right mandatory training without manual work.
- Create departments, teams and locations and appoint sub-administrators who only see their own area.
- Import users via CSV/XLS, let them sign in via single sign-on or, depending on the HR system, create them via an interface.
- Link mandatory training to roles or groups.

3. How do I repeat mandatory training every year automatically?
With recurring assignment and due dates per person. courseticket reassigns the training at the interval you set, sends reminders before the deadline and, if you wish, informs the line manager when it is overdue.
- Set the interval per training, for example every year or every two years.
- Set up reminder and escalation emails with your own wording and timing.
- Check open due dates per department in reporting.
4. How do I prove completion to auditors?
With a record per person that shows date, content, test result and certificate. courseticket issues certificates and attendance confirmations automatically as PDFs and keeps them in the user profile; lists per training, department or person can be exported as CSV/XLS.
- Create a certificate template with topic, date and validity.
- Link issuing to a passed final test or confirmed attendance.
- For audits, export lists or pass them to other systems via the REST API.
5. How do I check that the content was understood?
With a final test that has a pass mark. You set question types, number of attempts and time limit per training; the mandatory training only counts as completed once the test is passed.
- Create questions or let AI generate them from the training content.
- Set pass mark, attempts and time limit.
- Analyse results per person and question to improve the content.
6. How do I keep training content up to date and multilingual?
With an authoring tool inside the platform and AI support for new versions. When a policy changes, the AI Fellow creates lessons and knowledge checks from the new document; you maintain content per language without an external authoring tool.
- Upload the policy or presentation and generate a lesson and quiz from it.
- Review the content in the editor, adapt it to your corporate design and translate it.
- Publish the new version and reassign it to the groups concerned.

7. How do I document in-person and live briefings?
With session booking, QR code check-in and automatic attendance confirmation. On-site briefings, for example on workplace safety, or live sessions via Zoom and Webex run in the same platform as e-learning, with the same record.
- Create the session as in-person, online or hybrid and enrol participants.
- Record attendance by QR code in the browser; for Zoom and Webex, attendance is taken over.
- Issue the attendance confirmation automatically.
